Castelo do Sulco Selecão do Enólogo Branco is made from Arinto and Fernão Pires grapes. It is a very fruit‑forward wine, balanced in body and acidity, with a bright freshness and a lemony finish. The Quinta do Gradil has a long place in the history of Portuguese wine, dating back to 1492. However, it was only in the 17th century that the vineyard and the wine began to form part of the estate’s economic activity. The most decisive moment came in the 19th century, when Dona Maria do Carmo Romeiro da Fonseca inherited the Quinta do Gradil from her father and turned it into a leading agricultural enterprise focused on wine production.
