Castelo do Sulco Selecção do Enólogo is made from Arinto and Fernão Pires grapes, presenting a very fruity palate balanced in body and acidity, with a fresh finish and a lemony note at the end. Quinta do Gradil has been mentioned in Portuguese wine history since 1492. It was only in the 17th century that the vineyard and wine became part of the estate’s economic activity. The decisive turning point came in the 19th century, when Dona Maria do Carmo Romeiro da Fonseca inherited the property from her father and transformed it into a leading agricultural enterprise focused on wine production. Over the years, Quinta do Gradil has remained a benchmark for Portugal worldwide, now led by Luís Vieira. (Illustrative image only)
