This Castelmor, hailing from the Alentejo, is a delightfully comforting wine. It’s immediately evident with a ripe black cherry sweetness, hinting at a long, sun-drenched drying period – a classic Alentejo style. The Aragonez and Touriga Nacional contribute subtle forest notes, gracefully executed, and it’s remarkably easy-drinking. I’d wholeheartedly recommend pairing it with a hearty pork dish, perhaps a pormasato, to really let the flavours sing.
