Depending on its age, the wines may show marks left by time, such as dust traces on the bottles and/or some label damage – a common occurrence in wines that have spent decades stored. The National Cellar stores all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet always preserves the visual appearance inherent to their age. We typically select brands/regions that perform well in old‑wine tastings. However, wine is a living organism that, like all, is exposed to time, and even within a bottle its aromas evolve. Thus, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the wine’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open and let the bottle aerate beforehand, helping to release the wine’s natural aromas after so many years closed.
