In 1942, the company CAVES IMPÉRIO – Imperial Vinícola, Lda, was founded, dedicated to producing wines and liqueurs, and in 1981 it adopted the designation CAVES IMPÉRIO, S.A. By 1943, thanks to its location and the partners’ commitment, the first warehouse and cellar for ageing wines and producing natural sparkling wines by the Champagne method were built. In the years that followed, the facilities were expanded, the product range broadened, and quality refined to satisfy the most demanding consumer. (illustrative image only)
