The bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, as expected for their age. The National Cellar is obliged to store all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but always opts to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that, by habit, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we inform that wine is a living organism that, even while sealed in a bottle, its aromas evolve over time. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate beforehand, helping to release its natural aromas after many years closed.
