Few New‑World (and even Old‑World) white wines manage to condense more than a century of history into a single sip that can challenge the usual standards of their grape variety. With “Certezas,” winemaker Manu Michelini—eldest son of Gerardo Michelini and Andrea Mufatto—honours the resilience of an almost extinct viticultural heritage by reviving, at more than 1,300 meters above sea level in El Peral, Tupungato, one of Mendoza’s oldest Semillon vineyards. The winemaking approach is one of minimal intervention, with a measured use of barrels and a period of skin‑soaking of part of the must. The result is a sumptuous, gastronomic white that delivers aromatic layers of pastry‑like notes, stone fruits, floral nuances, and honeyed touches, all balanced by a firm acidity and a pronounced, expansive texture that captivates even the most discerning palates.
