This Champagne certainly seems to have enjoyed a comfortable, perhaps overly-assured, life. The nose reveals a toasted, buttery character hinting at extended aging – a touch predictable, to be honest. On the palate, the richness is undeniable, though the classic combination of ripe white fruits and nuts feels a little… familiar. Best paired with a creamy brie to cut through the effervescence.
