Founded in 1772 by Philippe Clicquot‑Muiron, Veuve Clicquot played an important role in establishing champagne as the drink of choice for European nobility and the affluent bourgeoisie. Located in Reims, it now boasts one of the largest and most beautiful vineyards in Champagne, covering roughly 390 hectares, spread across 12 of the 17 Grands Crus and 20 of the 44 Premier Crus that comprise the whole region. This exceptional heritage has been built over centuries, based on the plots first laid out by the founder and expanded by subsequent vineyard directors. In particular, Veuve Clicquot proudly bears the distinctive territorial mark of Madame Clicquot and has been part of the Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy group since 1987, whose focus is the marketing of luxury goods.
