This Gevrey Chambertin from Pere & Fils is a beautifully understated Pinot Noir, clearly echoing the traditions of one of Burgundy’s oldest cellars. The judicious use of new oak – a “moderate” approach, they say – lends it a wonderfully layered complexity, hinting at secrets whispered through generations. It’s a wine that speaks of pedigree, and frankly, it's superb with a hearty Boeuf Bourguignon.
