Despite an initial impression of sweetness, this wine is remarkably dry. The small Ningxia berries extract significantly more (around 25% more than European Cabernet Sauvignon grapes), and the extremely dry climate results in greater solids production – contributing to a truly concentrated flavour profile. On the nose, you’ll detect notes of mandarin zest alongside exotic fruit aromas. On the palate, a range of fresh flavours emerges, mirroring the aromatic experience. It’s a luxurious, generous wine with elegant freshness, positioning itself between a classic, un-oaked Chardonnay and a Old World Sauvignon Blanc, offering a completely new flavour profile. It's certainly one that will benefit from extended ageing.
