The earliest evidence of the Château de Beaucastel as it exists today dates back to the 16th century. Purchased in 1549 by Pierre de Beaucastel, it is now the Perrin family that continues the story of this estate. The Château de Beaucastel covers a total area of 130 hectares, of which only 100 hectares are planted with the vines that produce its wines: Château de Beaucastel (Châteauneuf‑de‑Pape) and Coudoulet de Beaucastel (Côtes‑du‑Rhône).
