The earliest evidence of the Château de Beaucastel as it exists today dates back to the 16th century. Purchased in 1549 by Pierre de Beaucastel, the family now carries on the history of the property. The Château de Beaucastel covers a total area of 130 hectares, but only 100 hectares are planted with vines that produce its wines Château de Beaucastel (Châteauneuf-du-Pape) and Coudoulet de Beaucastel (Côtes-du-Rhône).
