This Château La Mascaronne rosé – a name hinting at a little mischief – is a delightfully unexpected experience. Initially bursting with fresh strawberry and ripe raspberry aromas, it’s subtly underscored by herbaceous notes, almost as if a gardener has just finished his work. On the palate, it’s remarkably fresh and vibrant, boasting a lively acidity that really pops, finishing with a characteristic Provençal minerality. Apparently, the dominant Pinot Noir had a particularly good day in the vineyard – the result is an elegantly complex wine, ideally suited to grilled fish or cured meats.
