In 1989, Jean‑Luc Thunevin and his wife, Murielle Andraud, purchased a small parcel of less than one hectare in the Saint‑Émilion valley and launched the Valandraud venture, with their first harvest in 1991. Since then, they have acquired additional plots and properties, mainly in Saint‑Sulpice‑de‑Faleyrens, Saint‑Émilion, and Saint‑Étienne‑de‑Lisse. During the 2025 harvest, amid a very hot summer, the limestone plateau and north‑facing slopes played a decisive role in balancing the vineyard, adjusting to limit solar‑radiation impact and thereby preserve the harmony of the grape clusters. The wine is expected to be released from April 2028 onward. More information is available in the archives.
