The bottles of vintage wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is expected given their age. The National Cellar is required to store all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance appropriate to each bottle’s age. We select brands/regions that, as a rule, exhibit distinct characteristics in tastings of aged wines. However, we must inform you that wine is a living organism that ages over time, and even when sealed in a bottle, its aromas are subject to different evolutions. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine breathe first, which will help release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, make sure you do so patiently so you can detect the appearance of sediment that an aged wine tends to develop. (illustrative image only)
