This Clarete is a tribute to ancient viticulture and winemaking, where red, white and rosé varieties were planted, harvested and vinified together. It offers medieval aromas and flavours that still linger in some Upper Douro villages, such as Numão, and is a blend of Síria, Rabigato, Bastardo, Rufete, Casculho and Marufo. Surprising and aromatic, it is a traditionally Duriense clarete. The Vineadouro Estate is a centuries‑old property with unique features in the Upper Douro region. Located between the historic Castle of Numão and the sublime Douro of Miguel Torga, it offers tranquility and stunning landscapes. The same family has owned it since the 18th century; the current heirs—Cristina, Carlos, Teresa, Joana, Filipa, Inês and Diogo—represent two generations tied to the estate’s destiny. Since 2014, the family’s passion and dedication have driven the restoration of all existing rustic buildings and the requalification of the surrounding vineyards, olive grove, almond trees and forest. In 2020, wine production resumed and the Vineadouro brand was launched. (image purely illustrative)
