This Reserva from 2014 is crafted using Tempranillo and Mazuelo, sourced from vines planted way back in 1982. The soil, a fascinating blend of clay, limestone, and iron, contributes significantly to the wine’s character. Fermented under controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks, it then matured for 18 months in French oak barrels, followed by an additional 18 months ageing in the bottle – a patient approach resulting in a wine with remarkable complexity.
