The bottles of aged wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Wine Cellar is committed to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet it chooses always to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We select brands/regions that, by habit, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we inform you that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even within a bottle, aromas evolve in various ways. Thus, the National Wine Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate first, as this will help release its natural aromas after many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, do so patiently to detect the sediment that an old wine tends to produce. (image purely illustrative)
