Description

This Colombo, hailing from the island of Porto Santo, is a wine that whisks you away to those volcanic slopes, sheltered by ancient ‘croches’ – stone walls that’ve weathered centuries of Atlantic winds. Nuno, Juan, and Flavia, with their remarkably restrained approach, have bottled the very essence of Malvasia Fina, achieved through painstaking hand-harvesting and meticulous, temperature-controlled inox fermentation and ageing. The result is a vibrant, saline-tinged wine with a subtle mineral backbone, perfectly suited to pairing with grilled fish or seafood. Remarkably, despite this minimal intervention, it secured a gold medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards – a testament to the island’s unique terroir.
