According to its age, wines may show signs left by time, such as dust residues on the bottles and/or some label damage—common in wines that have been stored for decades. The National Cellar is committed to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet it always maintains the visual appearance inherent to their age. We typically select the brands/regions that normally perform well in old wine competitions. However, wine is a living organism, just like others, and is exposed to time; even within a bottle, its aromas can evolve differently. Thus, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the wine’s quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open and let the bottle breathe first, which will help release the wine’s natural aromas after so many years closed.
