Founded as a continuation of the Santos Lima family’s longstanding wine-making tradition, this producer traces its roots back to Joaquim Santos Lima, a prominent figure in the late 19th century, already a significant producer and exporter. Maria João Santos Lima and José Luís Santos Lima Oliveira da Silva revived the company in 1990, undertaking a substantial vineyard replanting project, enhancing the vineyard layout, and modernizing the entire production process.
