Alvarinho sourced from a Monção vineyard planted at about 250 m. From the 2019 harvest, fermented in a used barrel and aged in the same barrels for nine months, then spent another nine months in bottle. This wine is my take on Alvarinho from Monção and Melgaço—dry, high acidity, aromatically restrained, with a pronounced mineral focus. Light, assertive and direct—a wine made to be savoured.
