Constructo Tinto

Description

This Constructo, born straight from the century-old vines of Penalva do Castelo, is a beautiful reminder that the Dão still holds a few secrets. Fifty percent Touriga Nacional combined with a generous 40% of whole cluster fermentation gives it a wonderfully robust character, intensified by over 15 days of skin contact and a 18-month aging in French oak barrels. Expect a complex nose brimming with intense red fruit, and a promising evolution – it's clearly built to age gracefully, and would be superb with a perfectly grilled beef steak and some well-aged cheeses.
