According to its age, the wines may show marks left by time, such as dust residues on the bottles and/or some damage to the labels—common in wines that have been stored for decades. The National Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always preserves the visual appearance inherent to their age. We generally select brands and regions that usually stand out in old‑wine tastings. However, wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even within a bottle its aromas evolve. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the wine’s quality, given that it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let it breathe first, which will help release the wine’s natural aromas after so many years sealed.
