The COS Frappato takes its name from the grape variety it is made from: Frappato di Vittoria, a Sicilian municipality known for its winemaking tradition. The wine is produced from relatively young vines, averaging about 15 years old, grown on clay soils. Interestingly, it ages in concrete tanks to preserve the grape’s identity and freshness, keeping oak from masking the sensory experience. This is a red wine with Mediterranean DNA: lively, direct and fresh.
