This Couteiro Mor Escolha from the Alentejo clearly went for a rather intense, almost ‘sporty’ winemaking approach – a remarkably gentle pressing that left minimal sediment, coupled with carefully controlled fermentation at 14-16°C and a batonnage aging that undoubtedly boosted its complexity. The blend of Antão Vaz and Arinto, true regional benchmarks, sings beautifully. It’s a remarkably fresh and lively wine, perfect with grilled fish or a Mediterranean fruit salad.
