The first wine from Covela to receive organic certification, this Avesso Reserva is very special to us at Lima & Smith Ltd., as it embodies our dream of elevating the Avesso grape to a new level of excellence and showcases its ability to produce extraordinary wines. The grapes are hand‑picked from Covela’s granite terraces overlooking the Douro River in the southeastern tip of the Verde Wines region. Fermentation is spontaneous in French and Austrian oak barrels, where the wine rests for about six months. The result is an elegant, floral, and delicate wine with notes of apple and peach. As an Avesso, it never loses its freshness, intensity, or persistence in a very food‑friendly profile, and it has good ageing potential.
