Located on the right bank of the Douro River, between Régua and Pinhão, Quinta do Crasto spans about 130 hectares, of which 70 hectares are planted with vines. The company’s portfolio also includes Quinta do Querindelo, with 10 hectares of Vinha Velha, and Quinta da Cabreira in the Upper Douro, boasting 114 hectares of vines. With a privileged position in the Demarcated Region of the Douro, Quinta do Crasto has been owned by Leonor and Jorge Roquette’s family for more than a century. As with many large Douro estates, its origins trace back to antiquity—the name “Crasto” derives from the Latin *castrum*, meaning Roman fortress. (illustrative image only)
