Bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but always preserves the visual appearance inherent to their age. We curate a selection of brands/regions that, as a rule, display distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we note that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even within a bottle its aromas evolve. Thus, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product's quality, given that it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate first, as this will help release its natural aromas after many years sealed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, do so patiently to detect any sediment that an aged wine tends to develop. (illustrative image only)
