Dalva Port from a single harvest of the year. Instead of indicating age as a tawny blend (10, 20, 30, 40 …), the year is always mentioned on the label. However, they should not be confused with Vintage Port. A “Colheita” must be aged for at least seven years in oak barrels (but of course the complexity, aroma, and refined flavors cannot match the leaps of an old “Colheita”, such as a rare 1952 Golden Branco “Colheita” bottled in 2009 … 57 years in French oak barrels).
