However, these should not be confused with Vintage Port. A “Colheita” must age a minimum of seven years in oak barrels (though the complexity, aroma and refined flavours cannot reach the heights of an old “Colheita”, such as, for example, a rare 1952 Golden White “Colheita” bottled in 2009… 57 years in French oak barrels).
