Descendientes de J. Palacios was founded in 1999 when Álvaro and Ricardo decided to start a joint project and named it after Álvaro’s father and Ricardo’s grandfather, José Palacios. The winery, built on a hill, relies on gravity for its winemaking processes. The vineyards, now covering 35 hectares, focus on biodynamic cultivation for both production and maintenance. Over the years it has been fascinating to see how this project has evolved, placing even greater emphasis on the Bierzo region and proving its ability to produce wines that are unique, compelling, and worthy of aging.
