Descendientes de J. Palacios was founded in 1999 when Álvaro and Ricardo decided to launch a joint venture, naming it after Álvaro’s father and Ricardo’s grandfather, José Palacios. The winery, perched on a hill, relies on gravity to carry out its winemaking processes. In the vineyards, now spanning 35 hectares, production and maintenance revolve around biodynamic cultivation. Over the years it has been fascinating to witness the evolution of this project, which has increasingly highlighted the Bierzo region, proving its capacity to produce unique, convincing wines worthy of ageing.
