The bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is normal for their age. The National Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance that comes with their age. We select brands/regions that, by default, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of vintage wines. However, we want to inform you that wine is a living organism that ages over time, and even while sealed in a bottle, its aromas are subject to different evolutions. As such, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate first, as this will help release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you choose to decant before serving, be patient and watch for the appearance of sediment, which a typical older wine tends to produce. (illustrative image)
