Description

Domaine Auguste Clape unquestionably produces the best wines in Cornas from vines planted on just over four hectares of vineyards, with a high average age, some of which are over 100 years old. The wines are vinified traditionally and then aged in oak barrels for 18 months, without using new barrels. Consequently, their young wines tend to exhibit an opaque colour, rich aromas, and dense tannins. However, with age, the tannins evolve and develop a seductive perfume of creamy, peppery black fruits, offering a complex flavour on the palate.
