Description

Domaine Auguste Clape unquestionably makes the finest wines in Cornas from grapes grown on just over four hectares of vines, many of which are more than a century old. The wines are vinified traditionally and then aged for 18 months in oak barrels that have never been used before. This gives them an opaque hue, a bouquet of rich aromas and dense tannins when young, which soften with age into a seductive perfume of creamy black fruits, peppery nuances and a complex palate.
