Garrafeira Nacional stores all wines at the proper temperature and humidity, but it always preserves the visual appearance that comes with age. We typically select brands and regions that tend to perform well in old‑wine tastings. Nevertheless, wine is a living organism that, like everything else, ages, and even inside a bottle its aromas evolve in different ways. Accordingly, Garrafeira Nacional cannot be held responsible for the wine’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let it breathe first, which will help release the wine’s natural aromas after so many years sealed.
