The bottles of aged wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is in line with their age. The National Cellar commits to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, yet it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance inherent to their age. We curate a selection of brands/regions that, by norm, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we inform that wine is a living organism exposed to time, and even inside a bottle, aromas are subject to different evolutions. Thus, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product’s quality, given that it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate beforehand, as this will help release its natural aromas after so many years closed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, do so patiently to detect the sediment that an old wine tends to produce. (image purely illustrative)
