The story of this magnificent producer begins when Aimé Sabon returned from military service in 1967 and started taking care of his father's vineyards, which at the time were sold to the local cooperative. He always aspired to grow, and in 1973 built his cellar while expanding from the 5 ha he owned to the 50 ha he manages today. The wines from this estate are among the most sought-after in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and in recent years they have earned exceptional acclaim, with some bottles receiving maximum scores from leading U.S. critics, notably Robert Parker, who calls them brilliant producers.
