This Grenache, nurtured by vines older than the Republic itself, is a truly remarkable wine. The aging in oak barrels has clearly absorbed over a century of Portuguese sunshine, delivering an intensely flavoured wine with aromas of rich fruit and the earth. A fantastic accompaniment would be a hearty beef roast, perhaps with a generous crack of black pepper – a pairing that perfectly balances the wine’s passionate character.
