The bottles of older wines may show traces of dust and damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Cellar is committed to storing all wines at the correct temperature and humidity, but it always chooses to preserve the visual appearance that comes with age. We select brands/regions that, in general, reveal distinct characteristics in tastings of vintage wines. However, we inform that wine is a living organism that, even when sealed in a bottle, its aromas are subject to different evolutions over time. Thus, the National Cellar cannot be held responsible for the product's quality, as it is an old wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate first, as this will help release its natural aromas after so many years of being sealed. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, be sure to do so patiently to detect the appearance of sediment, which a typical old wine tends to develop. (illustrative image)
