Domaine Jean Fournier is regarded as one of the oldest producers in Marsannay‑la‑Côte. In fact, books even mention a vintner named Fournier from the reign of King Louis XIII. Today, Jean Fournier and his family manage about 16 hectares of vines in some of the finest terroirs of Marsannay (mainly red, but also white and rosé) and Gevrey‑Chambertin. Every wine from this producer is full of personality – a result of the old vines and the aging process, which sometimes exceeds three years. Their winemaking techniques yield structured, concentrated wines with great strength and character, ready to be aged in their cellar for many years.
