The bottles of vintage wines may show dust or damaged labels, which is to be expected given their age. The National Cellar ensures all wines are stored at the correct temperature and humidity, yet it always opts to preserve the visual appearance that reflects their age. We select brands and regions that, by default, exhibit distinct characteristics in tastings of old wines. However, we must inform you that wine is a living organism, and even within a bottle its aromas evolve differently over time. Therefore, the National Cellar cannot be held liable for the product’s quality, as it is an aged wine. Our recommendation is to open the bottle and let the wine aerate first, which will help release its natural aromas after many years of closure. If you choose to decant the wine before serving, do so patiently to detect the sediment that an old wine tends to form. (illustrative image)
