The Domaine Leflaive is located in the village of Puligny-Montrachet, an area renowned for producing outstanding aging white wines on the Côte de Beaune. It currently owns four Grand Cru estates and five Premier Cru sites. The history of the Domaine dates back to 1920 when its founder, Joseph Leflaive, undertook a major restructuring of the family vineyards in the Puligny commune. The current manager, his granddaughter and heir, Anne-Claude Leflaive, leads the project on behalf of the rest of the family. Their wines, as well as those of the region, are known for their concentration and opulence, while always retaining the delicate, mineral, and fresh qualities that characterize Burgundy's great whites, and Leflaive is undoubtedly one of the great names of Burgundy.
