Plaisirs red is the result of hot maceration for the Carignan and Syrah grapes, and traditional cold maceration for Grenache and Cinsault, presenting itself young, fresh with notes of garrigue and spices. Since 1734, Domaine Monplézy occupies an extremely privileged position in the terroir of Pézenas, in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, now a Natura 2000 zone that has recently become a member of the Birds Protection League. The 30‑hectare estate has been in the Germa‑Gil family for four generations and is currently managed by the younger members Anne, Christian, Benoit and Margot. Anne and Christian built their own cellar in 2000, now converted to biodynamic agriculture. Benoit, who worked on a famous biodynamic estate in California, then in Argentina and Provence, also devotes himself to the business, with the help of his younger sister Margot, an expert in all the tasks required by a winery. Together, they ensure the continuity of a family business increasingly dedicated to the production of organic wines.
