This Zind Humbrecht Pinot Noir is a truly remarkable example of Alsatian winemaking – a reminder that terroir can, frankly, be a little unnerving in its brilliance. Expect flavours of salty peach, a whisper of Muscat, and a herbaceous lift reminiscent of the Ribeauvillé slopes. The vibrant acidity, courtesy of the Pinot Noir, is beautifully balanced by the unmistakable minerality imparted by a touch of Turckheimer Riesling. As you might expect from a wine that snagged a Grand Médaille de Paris in 2017, it's a seriously complex wine – perfect alongside a slowly confit cod, for example.
