It sources grapes from eleven distinct vineyards all located in the Côte d’Or. Secondly, the name Romanée-Conti also designates a specific vineyard (and Grand Cru appellation) which, due to its historical significance and mystique, ultimately gave its name to the winery. Notably, as a monopole vineyard, it’s exclusively owned by the eponymous winery, contrasting with properties like Clos de Vougeot, which boasts dozens of owners.
