Founded in 1920 by Deonilde Freitas and later continued by Germana Freitas and Ermelinda Freitas, the house has always given special attention to wine. From its first generation, it has bet on the quality of its vines and wines, which were initially produced and sold in bulk without a brand. With the current management, a major shift occurred: proprietary labels were created, and in 1997 a new cycle began with the first wine produced and bottled by Casa Ermelinda Freitas.
