An old passion for the land, for the Douro, for wine led him to abandon his former life—centered around beers at Unicer—and settle in Folgosa, on the southern bank of the Douro River. In the small estate, where traditional Douro vines have grown for decades and the view over the river and valley is spectacular, he decided to heed his friends and devote body and soul to his wine.
