The Douro Boys set a clear goal: to allow the dry wines of the Douro to achieve a level of recognition commensurate with their inherent quality and to position them on equal footing with Port wine. Thus, they embarked on this path to put the Douro Valley where it belongs on the world wine map, while still recognizing the positive effect it will have on the image of Portuguese wines in general.
